Waldo O. Esparza, BSCP, is a Florida licensed Prosthetist and was certified in Prosthetics by the American Academy of Prosthetists and Orthotists in 1981. He is a left Transfemoral amputee. Waldo has been in practice for over 29 years, with the last 20 years in the Tampa Bay area.

A graduate of the University of Washington Prosthetic and Orthotic program, Mr. Esparza is a former member of the world renowned Sabolich Prosthetic Clinic, and held the position of Upper Extremity Specialist for Florida Nova Care. He has been the director of prosthetic departments for other facilities in the Bay area as well.

Mr. Esparza's subspecialty is Upper Extremity Prosthetics, as demonstrated by his extensive lecturing and publishing on the subject, nationally and abroad.

Waldo earned a Bronze Medal in Sailing at the 1996 Paralympic games held in Atlanta.

Carol Gerlach, our Office Manager, has enjoyed a career in the health and insurance industry for 25 years.  Carol has extensive background in management, claims payment, administration, insurance billing and accounts receivable and payable.  Carol was born and raised in Tampa.  She is married to Tim Gerlach and they have two lovely children.  She is active in sports and social charitable events in the bay area.

Luis Capestany, our Resident under NCOPE, is currently working on his certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics. Luis has resided in the bay area for 20 plus years.  He is a proud father to a young, energetic son.  Luis is active in the community and is a former competitive hockey player who continues to enjoy the sport recreationally.
